At the invitation of the mosque administration, Sister Noorul Jesima, Circle Coordinator of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Aranthangi Circle, delivered a special talk on “Parenting” at At-Taqwa Mosque on 11 October 2026, as part of the mosque’s regular monthly Bayaan programme.
The session addressed various aspects of effective parenting, emphasising the importance of understanding children’s mindsets, respecting their feelings and nurturing them in accordance with Islamic teachings. Practical examples were shared to help parents understand how to apply these principles in everyday family life.
The programme received positive feedback from the participants. Women who attended expressed that the talk was highly beneficial and gave them an opportunity to learn new perspectives on parenting. They particularly appreciated the practical examples, which helped them relate the guidance to situations they encounter in their daily lives.
Around 60 women and 20 men participated in the programme and benefited from the session.
The programme served as a valuable initiative to strengthen parenting awareness and encourage families to raise children with care, understanding and Islamic values.
