As part of the ‘Drug-Free Tamil Nadu’ awareness campaign, the Thuvarankurichi Branch of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind conducted an outreach programme by meeting local officials and educational authorities.
The team visited the Panchayat Office and met the Executive Officer (EO). Copies of Samarasam and Drugs: The Path to Destruction were presented, and the objectives of the awareness campaign were explained.
The team also visited the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School and met the Headmistress, presenting copies of the same books and explaining the purpose of the campaign.
Both the officials expressed their appreciation for the initiative and assured the team of their full cooperation in the campaign.
