As part of the ‘Drug-Free Tamil Nadu’ awareness campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Aranthangi Circle organised an awareness programme for students at IDEAL Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
Sister Noorul Jesima, Aranthangi Circle Coordinator of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, delivered an engaging awareness address on the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of preventing addiction among young people.
Addressing the students, she explained how substance abuse can severely damage a person’s future and dreams. She also encouraged them to confidently resist negative influences and harmful guidance that may come through peer pressure. The importance of discipline, good character, and positive habits in achieving a successful and meaningful life was also emphasised.
Following the programme, the school management and teachers highly appreciated the students’ attentive participation and the relevance of the session. They noted that awareness programmes of this nature are particularly important for today’s students and conveyed their appreciation and support for the initiative.
A total of 400 students participated in the programme.
Alhamdulillah.
