As part of the ‘Drug-Free Tamil Nadu’ awareness campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Ilangakurichi Circle conducted an awareness initiative at SNM Primary and Nursery School on 8 September 2026.
The team met Mrs. Maria, Headmistress of the school, and explained the importance of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse. As part of the initiative, a copy of the book Drugs: The Path to Destruction was also presented to the Headmistress.
An anti-drug pledge was administered to the students to encourage them to stay away from substance abuse and to create greater awareness about its harmful consequences. A total of 83 students participated in the pledge, along with members of the teaching staff.
Copies of Madakkolai were also distributed to the teachers as part of the awareness initiative.
