Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Awareness Outreach Conducted in Thuvarankurichi

A public awareness campaign titled “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” was launched at the Madurai Islamic Centre, along with the release of the campaign logo.
The programme was presided over by Janab Dr. Aval Beer, Amir-e-Maqami, JIH Madurai.
Janab Muhammad Riyas, Coordinator of the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Campaign, unveiled the campaign logo and spoke about its importance and objectives.
In his address, he highlighted the serious impact of alcohol and drug abuse on public health and noted the growing levels of alcohol and drug consumption in the state.
He further emphasized that alcohol and drug abuse not only affects individuals but also contributes significantly to family breakdown and wider social problems.
More than 50 JIH office-bearers, members and cadres, including representatives of the Men’s and Women’s Wings, participated in the programme.
The event marked the official launch of the “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” awareness campaign.
